What is Business Rules Framework Plus / BRFplus?
BRF+ stands for Business Rule Framework Plus which provides a comprehensive application programming interface and user interface for defining business rules.
It enables us to define business rules without the need to write ABAP code.
The generated Business Rules can be incorporated into other SAP programs or Substitution/Validation rules. BRF+ is not new and even not directly related to SAP S/4HANA, in fact it’s been applied in multiple frameworks like MSMP in Access Control, CCM in Process Control however BRF+ gained more attention since it is launched as the go-to solution for some business processes in S4 HANA. The most important ones are the changes in output management for Billing and Purchasing.
It is a part of SAP NetWeaver ABAP stack. The t-code used is BRF+ or BRFplus.
What is Process Control CCM?
SAP Process Control is an enterprise software solution for compliance and policy management. The compliance management capabilities enable organizations to manage and monitor their internal control environments.
This provides the ability to proactively remediate any identified issues, and then certify and report on the overall state of the corresponding compliance activities. and by using CCM the data to be analyzed is generated automatically by the defined control logic in data source and business rule.
How to use BRFplus in SAP PC CCM?
Below steps describes how to use BRFplus in building business rules
Scenario considered – Identify duplicate vendor based on tax code.
Logic to be build – Sort the vendors based on tax code and find any duplicates present in the record.
Data Source – Created Data source with LFA1 as a data source reference.
Business Rules –
Using the aggregation function in BRFplus , any duplicates in Tax field will cause the deficiency in Business rules, further this will raise an issue. The entire other processes including Issue & Remediation remains same.
