SAP GRC Process Control – Event Based Monitoring

SAP GRC Process Control – Event Based Monitoring

SAP GRC process control

What is Process Control?

SAP Process Control is an enterprise software solution for compliance and policy management. The compliance management capabilities enable organizations to manage and monitor their internal control environments. This provides the ability to proactively remediate any identified issues, and then certify and report on the overall state of the corresponding compliance activities. and by using CCM the data to be analyzed is generated automatically by the defined control logic in data source and business rule.

What is Event Based Monitoring?

Controls or monitoring rules that respond to messages that external systems send to Process Control are called event-driven controls. Such controls are scheduled and run in Process Control. They execute a query against a back-end system to gather data. The external system decides when an event is significant enough to send to the application.

Why Now?

With SAP announcement on release on new version of SAP GRC for S/4HANA in upcoming years, for the customers who would like to continue the investment on SAP GRC portfolio and not looking into SAP Assurance framework, the event-based monitoring would help in creation of deficiency as soon as a particular event is triggered in backend system when compared to the traditional CCM rules which triggers only during the scheduled time.
